Subsidy Programme
The Govt. Industrial Training Institute for Women Phagwara provides subsidy to the poor trainees on merit cum poverty basis and to SC/BC trainees, from funds provided by Director Social Welfare Department Punjab. The amount allocated and details of beneficiaries is as under:

STIPEND
The duration of stipend is equivalent to period of training
To help poor and deserving trainees up to some extent by govt.
Poverty cum merit bases
Application are asked from trainees
Criteria for deciding eligibility is merit cum family income bases
33.1/3% of the enrolled trainees are awarded stipend under regular as well as welfare scheme @ Rs.75/- per month [25/- from non – plan of deptt. head & 50/- through planning board 2.14]
Subject to the passing of bills through treasury. /undeclared ban by Govt.and amount is distributed in cash by cashier.

Scholarship:-
This is for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes trainees only
Under this scheme refund of compulsory fees and maintenance allowance as per fees structure benefit is being given to SC/ST students who are permanent residents of Punjab State and income of their parents/Guardian is less than one lac per annum.
Particulars of recipients of concession, permits of authorizations granted by it.
There is provision of concessional bus pass facility provided by the Institute to the students. Regarding this the details of budgets and expenditure approved by the Government to the Department of Industrial Training Punjab.
